Southern Bred Southern Reared (SBSR) is a collective of Standardbred breeders and vendors from across Otago and Southland, brought together to promote the strength and success of southern-bred horses. Established to create a unified identity for breeders spread across the region, SBSR provides a platform to increase visibility, strengthen connections and showcase the quality of horses raised in the South.

SBSR supports the promotion of eligible yearlings leading into the NZB Standardbred Sales, coordinates marketing initiatives, and continues to follow the progress of SBSR graduates throughout their racing careers. Through these efforts, SBSR helps connect breeders, vendors and buyers while reinforcing the proven performance of southern bloodlines.
